Mixtape for Dublin

‘Mixtape for Dublin’ is both a playlist and a visual art project by Dublin-based designer Gavin Feiritéar. Through Dublin Canvas, an Arts Council-funded public art project that commissions local artists to paint designs on unused public utility boxes, Gavin created a ‘mixtape’ design for his box located at the corner of Wexford Street and Kevin Street in Dublin City Centre (completed summer 2019). With a retro-inspired colour palette and a handwritten list of songs on the back, the piece has a companion Spotify playlist featuring contemporary Irish musicians. Includes Lankum, Loah, Fontaines D.C., Wyvern Lingo, The Gloaming, and more.

The project is a multimedia homage to Dublin City and to the art and music that thrives (t)here. Learn more about the project here on Gavin’s website.
